The total number of participants participated was approximately 80 students and 8 lecturers.
The main objective of this programme is to strengthen the bonding between staffs and students. Next was to provide space for students to engage in activities with their microelectronic families in their free time and encourages the spirit of cooperation, respect and cultivate noble values through the activities been carried out. Besides that, the objective is also to create understanding and teamwork among staffs and students and improving quality and productivity of the work. In addition, this programme provides platform for the committee to show their ability to manage massive events. Lastly, this programme nurtures the spirit of sportsmanship and the healthy nature of competition.
At 8.30 am, students from Uniciti campus arrived at Pauh. This program begins at 9am and it started with warm-up activity, the Zumba dance. The Zumba dance was led by Dean of Center for Diploma Studies (CDS), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hakimah Osman. After Zumba, the dean gave a short speech before launching the family day programme. All student was divided into five groups. The event starts with the game blowing and breaking the balloon accompanied by children. The first game started with “Kanda Dinda”. The next games are “Cawan Terbalik”, Fear Factor, “Tuju Kasut” and Lontaran Kasih. All activities were carried out smoothly in fun and cheerful atmosphere.
At 11.30 am, the lunch was served and the prize giving ceremony was conducted. The Blue Team has been announced as the overall champion. After that, the lecturer's representative, Mr. Mohd Rosyidi gave a speech. He is proud of the presence of students and microelectronics staffs to make the programme a success.
This year's family day was very lively and fun. It is anticipated that this programme will be conducted again in the near future by the junior students in the spirit of keeping up the good relationship and excitement between diploma students & diploma Microelectronics lecturers .
